Blackboard 8 Help Index
Blackboard 8 (http://myasucourses.asu.edu) is one of ASU's Course Management Systems. Faculty use it to deliver fully-online or hybrid courses, or as a supplement to their traditional classroom lecture. Digital content such as documents, graphics, audio files, animations, links to external resources, etc., can all be added to a course site. Blackboard 8 also offers tools such as discussion boards, assignment submission (including Safe Assign), quizzes and tests, voice tools and collaborative tools including chat rooms. All of the class materials can be loaded and offered via the Internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except during ASU's scheduled maintenance window.
