Use Snow Leopard with Microsoft Exchange 2007
Setting up Mail, iCal and Address Book in Mac OS X v10.6 (Snow Leopard) for use with Microsoft Exchange 2007 (EWS)
To use these instructions, please ensure that you are running Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard).
Note: Please ensure that you are on ASU’s Exchange 2007 service before attempting these directions. If you are not sure if you are on Exchange 2007, click here for more information on determining which Exchange account you have.
If you are not on Exchange 2007 and wish to be migrated, please send an email to Exchange2007@asu.edu.
To determine which version of Mac OS you are running use the instructions here.
- Open your Applications folder and double-click Mail.
- Click the Mail menu at the top of the screen and choose Preferences.

- Click the Accounts tab, and then press the plus sign button at the bottom of the screen.
- Enter your full name in the Full Name field.
- Enter your ASURITE ID followed by @exchange.asu.edu into the Email Address field. For example, if your ASURITE ID was jsmith, you would enter jsmith@exchange.asu.edu into the Email Address field.
- Enter your ASURITE password into the Password field.
- Click Continue.
- Mail will then ask you if you also want to setup Address Book and iCal. Select the services you want to have Mail setup and then click Create.
- Mail is now configured for use with your ASU Exchange 2007 account.
