Manage Positions as a Department Position Manager (DPM)
Every employee at ASU is attached to a Position number in PeopleSoft. Department Position Managers (DPMs) can create and modify these positions for their department. You must apply for roles in order to do this, one of which requires training. This article provides links to indepth information about Department Position Management.

Required Roles in PeopleSoft
These roles will allow you to do these things:
- HCM_Department Position Mgr - Createand View Roles (training required, see below)
- HCM_Department Financial Mgr - Fund Positions (no training required)
- HCM_Department Position View - View positions (no training required)

Required Training
Training is required for the HCM_Department Position Mgr role. This class is available on-line in Blackboard. Click on the "courses" tab. Search for "Department Position". Click on the "enroll" button. Click "submit". Click "OK".
